When you perform a scan, your device camera captures images that are transmitted to the third-party AI provider you have selected in Settings. These images are used solely to generate your analysis result and are not stored by Scanlyst after processing.
Analysis results including risk scores, condition labels, explanations, characteristics, and recommendations are stored locally on your device only. We do not have access to this data.
Settings such as notification preferences, haptic feedback, scan duration, and AI model selection are stored locally on your device only. We do not have access to these preferences.
When you perform a scan, your skin images are transmitted to one of the following third-party AI services depending on your selected model. You will be asked to explicitly consent to this before your first scan.
You can change which AI provider processes your images at any time in Settings.
If you enable daily reminders, Scanlyst schedules a local notification on your device at 9am. This is handled entirely on-device and does not involve any external servers or data transmission.
All scan results and preferences are stored locally on your device. Images are transmitted to AI providers over encrypted HTTPS connections. We do not maintain any servers that store your personal health information.
Scanlyst is rated 12+ and is not intended for use by children under the age of 12. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 12.

The information, analysis, risk scores, and recommendations generated by Scanlyst are for general informational and educational purposes only. Nothing in the App constitutes medical advice, a medical diagnosis, a professional consultation, or a recommendation to pursue or forego any medical treatment.
Always seek the advice of a qualified physician, dermatologist, or other licensed healthcare provider regarding any skin condition or other medical concern. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you have read or seen in this App.
AI-generated analysis results may be inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, or incorrect. Results depend heavily on image quality, lighting conditions, camera distance, skin type, and the AI model selected. Results should never be relied upon for clinical decision-making.
You must be at least 12 years of age to use Scanlyst. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you are at least 12 years old.
If you are a parent or guardian permitting a minor between the ages of 12 and 17 to use the App, you agree to these Terms on the minor's behalf and accept full responsibility for their use of the App.
You may use the App solely for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations.
Scanlyst uses third-party AI services including Google Gemini and Anthropic Claude, as well as a proprietary custom-trained ML model, to process scan images. Your use of third-party services through the App is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies.
Scanlyst, including all software, design, text, graphics, interfaces, and code, is owned by Sidharth Vishist and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
